Cricut + Spray paint + press N seal = good times.

Mo and Tyler had gotten tickets to one of our favorite groups 3oh!3.
{I didn't go because I felt to old.}
They wanted to make shirts for the concert with the bands hand sign on it.
Me, being the wise old lady in the equation, was able to make a stencil using the fabulous Cricut machine.
I don't think any of these photos need an explanation...

I am now officially ready to turn 25!

We have a had a "tiny" problem in our house since Sunday.
I named him Ferdy.
I found Ferdys little droppings/presents in my cupboard on Sunday night.
Diego ran to the store and bought me two traps.
These traps make it so that when Ferdy is killed you never have to see his dead body.
I woke up Monday morning and no Ferdy in the trap.
I had put some of my last moldy cheese bits in the trap and he must not have liked that.
So Monday night I come gome from work and he had moved to other cupboards.
{None with food}
So I take out everything that is in the lower cupboards.
 {My house now looks like it could be on Hoarders.}
I wash and steralize everything.
Wait.
Nothing.
Tuesday morning still nothing.
Tuesday afternoon I decided to take matters into my own hands.
Stop at Home Depot and pick up three more kinds of traps.
Stop at Harmons and pick up peppermint oil and metal scrapey thingys to shove in the holes.
Clean the kitchen.
Shove metal scrapey things into holes and pour oil on them.
Still afraid to put things back in drawers because what if Ferdy is still hiding in one of the drawers?
Set new traps.
{7 of them}
Realize I only have Feta cheese in the house!
What mouse would not like Feta cheese right?

Ferdy finally met his maker tonight after going for the gourmet cheese.
I couldnt pick up the trap so I called Kim, who had volunteered to take out the dead Ferdy.
So at 10:00 p.m. on Hump Day my situation was finally solved!
And I did it all on my own!
So freakin proud of myself!

I am freakin jinxed!

So we all keep playing this hand and foot card game and I keep losing! I am always on the losing team and getting very sick of it! Kelly and Devin are comin over tonight we are again going to play this damn game. I really hope I win tonight because if not we are switching to Simpsons Clue!

And another sad thing in my life... A neighbor of mine asked my friend if I was an actual ALBINO!!! Seriously!! She told him I wasn't but he probably does not believe her!

The more I look at Albino people the more I think that my neighbor has a point. Maybe for Halloween this year I will put in red contacts

Do we even get the newspaper?

Since I am pretty much on bed rest I have had to come up with some stuff to entertain me.
I decided to play around with the cameras shutter speeds and f stops.
I was trying to have Minnie be my subject when she jumped to alert and ran away to chase a light on the wall.
Looking through the pictures twenty minutes later I see that Minnie has some how gotten newspaper on her eyeball.
Of course I started yelling for Diego to bring me Minnie's eye drops and q tips!
I was sure as hell not going to take her to the vet for this!
It took me twenty minutes to get this thing off of her eye.
But she survived!

Donkey Flu?

So I woke up Monday morning and was not feelin so hot. Thought maybe it was just the new medicine I was on. Stayed home in bed all day. Woke up Tuesday fit as a fiddle. Did my exercises video but had to stop half way through because my muscles were killing me. Woke up Wednesday with a sore throat, and every muscle felt like I had ripped them in half. By 3 o clock I was freezing. I called my friend to find out what her husbands symptoms were. (Since we had just played cards on Saturday and he was diagnosed with the swine flu on Tuesday.)I came home from work and took a nap because I was sooo tired. I thought I was ok because I did not have all of the same symptoms as he did. I woke up from my nap and I felt even worse, my nose was runny, I was sneezing every 2 minutes, and to top it all of Diego came home and told me that it was amazing how he never gets sick! Thanks Baby! So Thursday morning I wake up still the same so I go in to get tested for the swiney hiney. I walk in and its my friend who weighs me. (yeah I have been exercising up until Sunday, and no I did not check out my weight!)
Here is my convo with Shelby:
Me: I think that I am dying Shelby!
Shelby: Oh Sam you will be fine. What are your symptoms?
Me: Doesn't feeling like shit automatically diagnose me with swine flu?
Shelby: Nope.
Me: OK, Upset stomach, chills, runny nose, sneezy, pretty much flu like symptoms, oh and I hung out with somebody that had swine flu...
Shelby: Oh... I am going to go get the Dr.
Me: (Telling myself to breathe) Ok thanks Shelby.
Shelby leaves
Waiting...
Waiting...
Shelby comes back in the room.
Shelby: The Dr. says that I should give you the test.
Me: What do I have to do and is it going to hurt?
Shelby: I am going to put {shove} this q-tip up your nose and swab the inside of your nostril.
Me: Dont lie Shelby, is it gonna hurt?
Shelby: It will make your eyes tear up.
Me: Shelby I am already trying not to cry!
Shelby proceeds with the test...
I start to cry...
Me: When I die will you make sure that they right that I died of the swiney hiney on my gravestone?
Shelby: {Big Smile} I am going to go get this test started.
Shelby leaves...
I decide to read a magazine...
Dr comes in...
Dr.: How you feelin today?
Me: Death warmed over:
Dr: Ok it will take ten minutes for your test to give us the results.
10 minutes later...
Dr.: Good news and bad news...
You dont have the swine flu...
But you do have a virus...
And you can not cure a virus you just have to let it run its course.
Me: Ok so how long do you think this is going to last?
Dr.: Between 10 and 15 days.
Me: Ummm... bummer.
DR.: OK here is a signed release for work, go home and rest until Monday!
Sweet!
I call Diego when I get out of the Drs. and he tells me that maybe its the Donkey flu! Because they have had every other type of animal flu maybe I am the first with the Donkey flu! So I called him an Ass and went to the drug store.
So now it is Friday and I am bored out of my mind. Sadly Diego has the day off so he is home to bug me. He thinks that I am going to share the remote with him... well I am not.
Hope everybody is feelin ok out there in the blogging world. I have desperately missed you since Tuesday. I will get back to my exercise hopefully by Monday and I can start talking about my dear friend Debbie again!

Wal Mart the sitcolm!

I do almost all my shopping at good old wally world! I am not saying they are the greatest but I can get everything I want under one roof! Last week I was walking the isles and witnessed most of the great things that are on the wal mart bingo sheet! Giggling to myself I thought that wal mart should have a tv show! I would defintaely watch it. Maybe it could be like a reality tv series. They could just hook up hidden cameras and watch what happens. After my aimless wandering I headed to the 20 items or less lane. 1st girl in line was a little hefty. I have nothing against hefty people. I am not lacking in the hefty department. BUT... I, unlike this young lady, do not by swimsuits that will let the world not have to wonder what she looks like under her clothes! She did have good taste though. It was an adorable swimsuit and I was about to go check if they had one in my size that was a 1 piece and had some board shorts. 2nd person in line was an older lady that was at least 80. Really really tiny little woman that looked like she had never grown in her life. In her cart was 7 cases of beer. Not the 6 pack! No she had the 24 packs fillin up the cart. I am looking at the cart wondering how she even picked up one of these cases. When it was her turn the check out lady sat there waiting for the old geezer to pick up one of the packs for to scan. The geezer just stared back. It lasted about 30 seconds and then the checker picked up her little gun and scanned them from the cart. Than the scanner asked to see some ID!!!!!! I was so shocked. Make up a date you freak! So the old lady had to search through her enormous purse to find her ID. Next it was my turn. All I had was some pork chops. They were 50% and the checker had to do the math in her head. I am terrible at math. I totally make Diego do all adding in my life. So the check er kept staring at the package. About a minute later I said " Its $2.14." Checker " I knew that!!!". Feisty one! I hope you all enjoyed my rantings about wally world!
